4th of July Layout

Here’s another layout from Gatlinburg!!!  We love Gatlinburg, TN, can you tell?  If you’ve never been you should go.  God’s amazing creation is so evident there, no matter what the season is.  If you travel into the Great Smokey Mountains eastward, you will come to Cherokee, NC.  It is an Indian Reservation nestled in the mountains.  The last time we were there we actually saw 2 black bear cubs climbing up a tree.  Without further ado…

I used some Crystal Effects on the “2007”.   I don’t think the picture does it justice.

I Love the 80's Blog Hop Going on NOW!!!

Sneak Peak!

 

So I took the plunge and decided to enter a “blog hop”.  I will not reveal any information until I am allowed, but couldn’t help but show you a few pictures of what I am working on!  Enjoy and God bless!  P.S.  There will be blog candy involved!  If you don’t know what a “blog hop” or “blog candy” are I’ll explain at the end of the post!!!

The cute turkey is from the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter.  Paper is DCWV.  Ribbon is PaperTrey Ink and I just had to stickle!  When a girl’s gotta stickle a girl’s gotta stickle!!!

I typed this cute saying and also the “gobble” background on my computer and printed it out.  I have to tell you, whenever I got ready to print I kept looking for the “cut” button on my computer!  Maybe I have been using my Cricut a little too much lately!

Oh!  The definitions I promised…

Blog Hop:  A blog article that contains links to other articles covering a specific topic. Most blog hops are hosted by a rotating list of frequent contributors to the hop, and serve to both generate new posts by contributors and highlight new bloggers posting matter in that subject area.

Blog Candy:  Can you eat it?  Can you buy it at the store?  Well no!!!  Blog Candy is something that blog hostesses give away in appreciation for visiting their blog.  And, if you didn’t know already, crafters are some of the most generous people out there and love to give away goodies so you will most likely find yummy blog candy on a craft website.

 

Some Spooky Cards!!!!

Today’s Post is of some Spooky (goofy) cards I made using the Cricut Mini Monsters cartridge.  I use the card function on the cartridge to make both cards.  All paper is Bazzills.  The ribbon on the “corny” card is from Hobby Lobby and the stamp is PaperTrey Ink, Signature Greetings.  Enjoy!



Yes, this card was made backwards!  I guess I wasn’t thinking when I started gluing it together!  That 3M Quick Dry Adhesive really is quick dry!!!!

Christmas Cards for OWH

Operation Write Home is an organization that collects handmade cards and sends them to soldiers that are deployed.  The soldiers then can use the cards to send back to their loved ones.  I made a total of 72 cards to send for Christmas!  I never thought I would be able to crank out that many but I stuck with the same formula on all of them.  Staci and I sent off a total of 122!  If you would like help, the website is http://operationwritehome.org/. 
I found this awesome stamp in my stash from PaperTrey Ink.  It works perfectly!

Camping at Mark Twain Cave

I used a various supply of paper on this layout.  I tried to use some scraps up!  I am being overrun by scraps!  The font is cut with SCAL.  The fire scene at the bottom is cut with SCAL.  The cuts are from SVGCuts.com’s collection called “Camping at Fox Ridge”.  The title of the collection helped me come up with a title for my page : )  If you have SCAL, I highly recommend this website!  They have so many really nice cuts and some very informative videos!  I bet by now you are wondering why I always cover faces, aren’t you?  Well, I want my life to still be private, I like to share my ideas, but want to keep my family and friends hidden!  I know everyone who follows my blog knows what we look like, but other people look and that’s cool, but still I want to keep them private!!!

Swing With Me Layout

For this layout I used these wonderful pictures of my two oldest daughters.  The pictures were taken several years ago, but I love going through old pictures and scraping them!  Enjoy!

The paper is from the DCWV Indian Summer Stack.  The font is cut with SCAL, it’s called “baby don’t worry bout it”!  Isn’t that fun?!  Ribbon is from PaperTrey Ink. 

These cute leaves were cut with the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter.  The faces were stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps Dolly Dumpling Faces.  I only have one set of face stamps, and I love them!  I saw this idea on another blog so I cannot take credit for the idea.
I love this saying and thought it was perfect for the layout.  So let me know what you think. A really neat thing about using SCAL is that you can also print in the same font you cut, so everything matches.   God Bless!
