Here's a sneak peak of our Christmas Cards...

This is actually a card I made for a swap, but our family will be sending out similar cards!  Do you like?  The solid paper and ribbon is from Clear Dollar Stamps and the patterned paper is from K & Company.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder and Stampin Up punch to dress up the red background paper.  Don't have any idea where the "Merry Christmas" stamp came from!



Mojo Monday 159

This is what I came up with for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. 

  I first thought the Cricut Imagine was not something I would want.  I was tempted when I started seeing the cute things people were making.  Then, I saw some of the things people were making with images from Lettering Delights.  So, to appease my desire for a Cricut Imagine (expensive) I indulged in some Lettering Delights images (very inexpensive...right now all sets are $1/ea) and made this neat card.  I have so many ideas floating in my head with the Lettering Delights stuff!!!  So, enjoy and be inspired!

These images are from the collection called "Felt Owl Right"!  They look like felt!  This is the inside of the card.

Here's a close up of the owl.  I flocked it and used some stickles!  The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the edge of the green paper. What do ya think?

One More Layout with the Fall DCWV Stack from 2009!

Okay!  I love this stack!  It is so pretty!  When you use beautiful paper, it is so easy to make a simple layout that looks wonderful!  I have lots of scrapbooking to catch up on and have found that this is the way to go! The font is cut with SCAL and the Cricut.  Enjoy and be inspired!

Who Loves You Layout

Here's a simple layout using a picture of me and my dd.  The paper is DCWV Summer stack and the light blue paper is Bazzils.  I cut the title out with SCAL.  The adorable owl is from the Paisley cricut cartridge.  I had made several of the owls for a swap on the Cricut message board and I had several extra.  The colors matched the paper perfectly!  I love it when that happens ; )

I added some bling and there ya go!  Easy as pie when you have coordinating paper and embellishments.

4'Wheelin' Layout

Here's a layout using SVGCuts' Camping at Fox Ridge collection and DCWV Fall Stack (2009).  I absolutely love the paper in that stack!  Some are glittered, some are foiled, all are beautiful!  When you find beautiful coordinating paper and die cuts, it makes putting a page together a snap!

This jeep is so cool!  I used brads to make it look a little more realistic!  The title is cut with SCAL.  The "Roughin' It" caption is also from the SVGCuts' collection.  Enjoy and be inspired!  I have so much fun looking at old pictures and creating layouts with them!  I hope you will too!

Give Credit Where Credit's Due...

I received a Stampin Up catalog a few months ago and I absolutely loved one of the cards on the cover.  After sitting and staring at it a number of times and asking my Stampin Up consultant how it was created, I made my version.  I totally give all credit to Stampin Up, I didn't use their products (only because I didn't have what I needed!!), but I totally used their design!  So, be inspired, but always give credit where credit is due!!! : )   P.S.  If you would like to order Stampin Up, I'll be having a book party in January.  You can view their catalog online through the Stampin Up website. 

First, I cut the bracket shape out using the Cricut and SCAL.  I glued strips of scrap paper to the shape.  I cut around the strips with an exacto knife.  Second, I cut the same shap out, only smaller and glued it to the middle.  I printed the word "friend" out on the computer and cut it apart then glued it haphazardly.  I stampted a a flower from some misc. stamps I had and colored with pastels.  I added some bling with the blue jewels.

This is the greeting inside.  It is from a stamp set from PaperTrey Ink called "Signature Greetings". 



Gymnastics Layout

This is a layout of my dd's days in gymnastics.  I was so excited when I realized I could use the swim suit from PPDU and make it match her leotard.  I stickeled the top, so it looks even more like the real suit!  The paper is from the Summer stack from DCWV.  The adorable face is stamped with Peachy Keen stamps Dolly Dumplin Faces.  The title is cut using Alphalicious Cricut cartridge.  I have no rhyme or reason for scrapbooking!  I periodically look through pictures and get inspired to do a layout.

Here's a tag that is hidden behind one of the pictures.  My dd had fun writing about what she remembered from her days in gymnastics!  I love it when they cooperate and journal for me!
