Camping at Mark Twain Cave

I used a various supply of paper on this layout.  I tried to use some scraps up!  I am being overrun by scraps!  The font is cut with SCAL.  The fire scene at the bottom is cut with SCAL.  The cuts are from SVGCuts.com’s collection called “Camping at Fox Ridge”.  The title of the collection helped me come up with a title for my page : )  If you have SCAL, I highly recommend this website!  They have so many really nice cuts and some very informative videos!  I bet by now you are wondering why I always cover faces, aren’t you?  Well, I want my life to still be private, I like to share my ideas, but want to keep my family and friends hidden!  I know everyone who follows my blog knows what we look like, but other people look and that’s cool, but still I want to keep them private!!!

Swing With Me Layout

For this layout I used these wonderful pictures of my two oldest daughters.  The pictures were taken several years ago, but I love going through old pictures and scraping them!  Enjoy!

The paper is from the DCWV Indian Summer Stack.  The font is cut with SCAL, it’s called “baby don’t worry bout it”!  Isn’t that fun?!  Ribbon is from PaperTrey Ink. 

These cute leaves were cut with the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter.  The faces were stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps Dolly Dumpling Faces.  I only have one set of face stamps, and I love them!  I saw this idea on another blog so I cannot take credit for the idea.
I love this saying and thought it was perfect for the layout.  So let me know what you think. A really neat thing about using SCAL is that you can also print in the same font you cut, so everything matches.   God Bless!

“Glorious Gatlinburg” Layout

 

I absolutely love this stack of paper from JoAnn’s.  It’s Cloud 9 Design and it has 180 pieces of scrapbook paper in designs for Fall, Halloween and Christmas.  With a 40% off coupon I paid around $10 for the stack!

I used paper from the Fall section to make this layout of a Fall we spent in Gatlinburg!

 

The acorns were cut from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge.  I tried to make them look 3-D’ish by adding Aleen’s Clear Tacky Glue over the tops!  It worked lovely!  I will definitely be trying this on other things.  It gives the illusion that it’s like a “puffy” sticker.  Oh!  Do you remember “puffy” stickers?  Those were so neat!  I was a major sticker collector when I was about 8!  Imagine that!   Enjoy and have a blessed day!

Today’s post is of a birthday card I made for my dd to give to her friend.  This friend is having a Birthday Party/Halloween Party so I had to make her a spooky card, right???

Cards for Soldiers

Today’s project is a card I made to send to soldiers overseas.  I stumbled upon a website that is gathering handmade cards for Christmas to send to soldiers to send back home to their loved ones. 

The snowman is cut from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge.  I dressed him up with black jewels coal) for his eyes and ribbon for his scarf.   I totally scrap-lifted the idea from the CardsTV website!  It’s awesome!  Nothing but videos of cards being made!

Mojo Monday #160

Time for Mojo Monday (on Thursday !!)  I used paper from PaperTrey Ink and printed out the cute reindeer from the Lettering Delights set called “Modello”.  Isn’t he cute?

I used my favorite Stampin’ Up punch and some random buttons!

Bitter Sweet Scrapbook Layout

Okay...So, those of you who have followed my blog know that lately I've been digging in the old pictures going down memory lane.  Today's post is the same!  I made a layout of pictures that were taken the day we moved to Illinois.  It was an emotional page to make and the pictures stir all kinds of feelings in me.  These are the reason I wanted to make a page, so future generations would know about that day.  I know I loved to hear stories from my grandparents about "when they moved to Nashville".  So, without further ado...I invite you to see part of the Nieweglowski Family history...

The beautiful paper is DCWV from the Summer Dreams stack.  With such beautiful paper is is simple to make a lovely layout with pictures and a tag for journalling.  The title is actually supposed to be the sign that says, "The people of Illinois welcome you". 

I stickled the birds!  Aren't they lovely?

I thought one tag would be enough, but I was wrong!  I had to compromise and add another tag that slides behind the larger tag.  I probably could've added many tags to talk about all that was going on that day!  Enjoy and be inspired and maybe feel a little more in touch with us as you see our history!  Ask me to tell you about the experience of moving here!  Boy, what a testimony!
