Funky Flower using Lettering Delights, Inkscape and SCAL

I am so excited to share this flower!  A flower you ask?  What is so special about this flower?  Well, this is my first successful SVG created in Inkscape and cut with SCAL.  The clipart for the picture is from Lettering Delights, it's part of the Mulberry Too collection.  I watched a video on Youtube from "craftingwcristina" that is wonderful!  It just clicked and I was able to break apart this flower and a few other things to make some awesome SVGs!

This is what I did with the flower!  I added a second smaller one to the layout as well.  The patterened paper is K & Company Cintronella and the solid paper is DCWV and Bazzils.  I love the ribbon, it's from Hobby Lobby in the sewing section (great place for ribbon).  The title is cut with SCAL also, the font is called "Two Peas Crazy Pooch".  How fun is that?!  How sweet is my baby girl!!!

Friend Layout

I'm back to scrapbook layouts!  This layout is one I did for my dh, it's of him, our youngest and his best friend from childhood.  I made a journal tag that's hidden in this pocket.  I'm going to beg him tonight to journal on it...it will be a first for him!  The design is from SVGCuts.com, it's from their Memory Garden Collection.  The tree is from Just Because Cards.  The title is cut with SCAL.  All patterened paper is DCWV and the cardstock is Core'dinations.  I also put a little bling on it with the Tulip Glam it Up.  Enjoy and God bless!  And thank God for good friends!

Happy Birthday to You Card

This is the last card for the swap!  Yeah!  Mission accomplished, it feels so good to get done!  For this card, I used Paper Tray Ink paper and ribbon.  The horse is actually the "unicorn" from the Cricut Paisley cartridge.  I gave the glitter paper another try.  This time I used Zip Dry glue to make the horse stick to it!  The title is actually printed on the paper.  I like to print titles on paper to make it look like I want it if I don't have a stamp that suits my purpose.  There are so many really nice, free fonts available on the internet.  My favorite site is http://www.fontspace.com/

MOJO153

My 2nd attempt at MojoMonday!  I like this one much more than last week's!!
For this card...
Paper Trey Ink ribbon and paper
Tulip Glam it Up
Cuttlebug
K & Company Sticker
JoAnn's Rub-on
This is a "Get Well" card that I made for the card swap I'm doing.  This was a very simple and easy card to make but I think it is very pretty.  The paper is Paper Trey Ink and so are the stamps. I used VersaMark ink to stamp the images.  I used Coordinations white core cardstock to make the embossed heart, so when I sanded it the embossing shows the core.  The shapes are cut from Cricut George and Basic Shapes cartridge. The Idea for the card from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini catalog.  Have a blessed and creative day!!!

Today's card is from the Cricut cartridge Just Because Cards.  I used PaperTreyInk paper (solid) and K & Company Cintronella pack (patterened paper).
Have a blessed day!

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Card

Today's card is a wedding card I made for the swap that is consuming all of my creative time!  I used some beautiful glitter paper (that isn't a mess) from DCWV and the pink background paper is whitewashed, so when sanded, it looks really pretty.  I cuttlebugged the pink paper before sanding.  I also used a Tulip Glam it Up tool to add some bling!

Savor the Day Birthday Card

For this card I used basic squares to make a cake with a slice cut out of it.  I use Zip Dry glue to attach some seed beads for the sprinkles.  I also used the Cuttlebug embossing folder "Happy Birthday".  Oh!  And the beautiful blue paper is some my wonderful crafting soul mate, Stephanie, gave me!

Mojo Monday 152

This is my first attept at the "Mojo Monday" challenge.

Happy Birthday Cupcake Card

Okay, this card was a learning experience that I want to share! The glitter paper I used is Colorbox and it is beautiful BUT a pain. There was glitter all over my cricut mat and I had a difficult time sticking anything to it. I tried the tape gun because it usually works wonderfully, fell off! So I used 3M glue and I had to hold pressure on it until it dried, about a minute. So... for the card, I used paper from DCWV (patterened paper), PaperTreyInk (solid paper), and the beautiful background paper is some more cool stuff my friend Stephanie got me! The cupcake is cut from Hello Kitty Greetings. I simply printed to greeting from the computer and dressed it up with a couple of brads! This is a trick I like if I don't have a stamp that says exactly what I need!

Mom, when are you going to start scrapbooking again?

That is what my dear sweet daughter wants to know!  I have been consumed with making cards lately and probably have only made 5 scrapbook layouts this summer.  I signed up for a few card swaps, so as soon as I complete my obligation, I'll start scrapbooking again!  I think she's excited to see herself in a layout on my blog!

Baby Card

I used a Martha Stewart punch that I got off Ebay, for a fraction of the real price.  I used the Cuttlebug folder Swiss Dots and PaperTreyInk paper and ribbon.  The sentiment is a rub on that I got on clearance at JoAnn's.  I am trying very hard to be a frugal crafter!  I cut the moon with the Cricut cartridge Nursery Rhymes (I think!) and Stickled his face.

Animals on Parade Card

Here's a card I made for a monthly card swap on the Cricut message board.  I use the same paper combo, DCWV patterened paper and PaperTreyInk solid paper.  I used the Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge.

Buttoned and Tied Card

This is a card I made for a card swap on the Cricut message board.  I am addicted to card make lately!  I guess It's a good thing since I joined a swap that I have to make 60 cards for before Oct. 1st!  This card is made with DCWV printed paper and PaperTreyInk solid cardstock.  I used PaperTreyInk stamps too.
