Camping at Mark Twain Cave

DSC04668
I used a various supply of paper on this layout.  I tried to use some scraps up!  I am being overrun by scraps!  The font is cut with SCAL.  The fire scene at the bottom is cut with SCAL.  The cuts are from SVGCuts.com’s collection called “Camping at Fox Ridge”.  The title of the collection helped me come up with a title for my page : )  If you have SCAL, I highly recommend this website!  They have so many really nice cuts and some very informative videos!  I bet by now you are wondering why I always cover faces, aren’t you?  Well, I want my life to still be private, I like to share my ideas, but want to keep my family and friends hidden!  I know everyone who follows my blog knows what we look like, but other people look and that’s cool, but still I want to keep them private!!!

Swing With Me Layout

For this layout I used these wonderful pictures of my two oldest daughters.  The pictures were taken several years ago, but I love going through old pictures and scraping them!  Enjoy!

The paper is from the DCWV Indian Summer Stack.  The font is cut with SCAL, it’s called “baby don’t worry bout it”!  Isn’t that fun?!  Ribbon is from PaperTrey Ink.

These cute leaves were cut with the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter.  The faces were stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps Dolly Dumpling Faces.  I only have one set of face stamps, and I love them!  I saw this idea on another blog so I cannot take credit for the idea.
DSC04672I love this saying and thought it was perfect for the layout.  So let me know what you think. A really neat thing about using SCAL is that you can also print in the same font you cut, so everything matches.   God Bless!

One More Layout with the Fall DCWV Stack from 2009!

Okay!  I love this stack!  It is so pretty!  When you use beautiful paper, it is so easy to make a simple layout that looks wonderful!  I have lots of scrapbooking to catch up on and have found that this is the way to go! The font is cut with SCAL and the Cricut.  Enjoy and be inspired!

Check out the glitter on this paper!  It came this way!

Who Loves You Layout

Here's a simple layout using a picture of me and my dd.  The paper is DCWV Summer stack and the light blue paper is Bazzils.  I cut the title out with SCAL.  The adorable owl is from the Paisley cricut cartridge.  I had made several of the owls for a swap on the Cricut message board and I had several extra.  The colors matched the paper perfectly!  I love it when that happens ; )

I added some bling and there ya go!  Easy as pie when you have coordinating paper and embellishments.

Enjoy!  God Bless!

Today I worked on some cute Halloween Gift Bags. I used a SVG file from SVGCuts.com called "Tied Suprise Bags". The paper is from K & Company Halloween stack. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I had some fun with Stickles and googly eyes!

Oh, I almost forgot!  The pumpkin, the skull, the bat and the spider are from Lettering Delights doodlebat called Booya! ; )

Lettering Delights+Inkscape+SCAL=Cute Birdies!

Here are a couple of tweeties that I cut using SCAL and Inkscape. The art is from Lettering Delights Mulberry Lane collection. I changed the colors to fit each paper combination. One of the great things about crafting with the Cricut is the ability to coordinate whatever is cut with whatever theme is needed.  I love the birdie paper too! The top birdie paper is from K & Company and the paper in the bottom is DCWV.

And one of the finished layouts...
or is it finished?  I have a tough time saying "enough"!
God Bless : )

Text in a Circle using Inkscape

I used Inkscape to "put text on a path" to create the circle and also the stem.  I am having so much fun playing with Inkscape and SCAL lately!  Maybe it's my determination to not spend so much $$!  I used this lovely flower to decorate a cute page in a special book I'm working on.
Here's a picture of the finished page...

I used a Bind-It-All to bind this book.  I love that tool!  The ribbon and green paper are PaperTrey Ink and the patterened paper is K & Company Baby Girl Stack. Not sure which stack the brown patterened paper is from!  Hence, the spending needs to stop!  I am addicted to paper packs!  Have a blessed week!

Friend Layout

I made this page of my dd and one of her bffs.  This page is of them goofing off!  The adorable paper is from the K & Company Halloween stack and the flower is cut is SCAL and it's a flower from Lettering Delights MulberryToo collection.  I added some pretty brown ribbon from PaperTrey Ink that "ties" it all together!

Boo to You!

Halloween is not a holiday that I usually get excited about, but I saw this wonderful paper at JoAnn's from   K & Compay that inspired me to get excited!  I found this really nice dingbat font on the Lettering Delights' website, it's called "booya" and it cuts perfectly on the Cricut with SCAL.  I know it's early, but I couldn't wait to share!  Have a wonderful day and enjoy!

Funky Flower using Lettering Delights, Inkscape and SCAL

I am so excited to share this flower!  A flower you ask?  What is so special about this flower?  Well, this is my first successful SVG created in Inkscape and cut with SCAL.  The clipart for the picture is from Lettering Delights, it's part of the Mulberry Too collection.  I watched a video on Youtube from "craftingwcristina" that is wonderful!  It just clicked and I was able to break apart this flower and a few other things to make some awesome SVGs!

This is what I did with the flower!  I added a second smaller one to the layout as well.  The patterened paper is K & Company Cintronella and the solid paper is DCWV and Bazzils.  I love the ribbon, it's from Hobby Lobby in the sewing section (great place for ribbon).  The title is cut with SCAL also, the font is called "Two Peas Crazy Pooch".  How fun is that?!  How sweet is my baby girl!!!
